Los Cabos is breaking record with the Blue Flag certificate!

Los Cabos is one of the favorite tourist destinations in Mexico, known for its warm weather and paradisiacal beaches, which are visited by tourists from all over the world.

Another reason why this destination is so unique it's because many of its beaches have the Blue Flag certification, this certification is given to the beaches and marinas that meet the highest standards of safe environmental education and information that this certificate entitles, and it has a dedicated team responsible for protecting the coasts and local ecosystems.

To this date Los Cabos has 7 beaches with the Blue Flag certificate:
the Corsario (Empacadora) Las Viudas, Acapulquito, Hacienda, Santa María, Chileno and Palmilla.

These beaches have a wide variety of marine life, from stingrays, Blowfish, and many species of colorful fish that make these beaches perfect for snorkeling, There are also depths up to 60 feet, that are amazing for those who decide to dive and explore the waters of the Sea of Cortez.

This year, Los Cabos presents a record number, as it postulates 19 beaches to receive this distinctive Blue Flag certificate , once approved this will place the destination of Los Cabos as First Place Nationwide, that is, the vacation destination with most Blue Flag beaches in all of Mexico!

This means that there are already a total of 19 beaches worthy of this high distinction, which makes Los Cabos one of the best destinations to visit in all of Mexico.
